Idly Upma
Ingredients:
- 4-5 idlies
- 25 grams small onion (Chinna vengayam)
- 3 Green chillies - cut into pieces
- 1/2 table spoon of mustard seeds
- 10-15 Curry Leaves
- Oil
- 1/2 table spoon of urad daal
- 1/2 table spoon Bengal Gram (Kadalai paruppu)
- Salt as per the requirement
- Smash idlies into small pieces.
- Heat the oil in a pan, once it becomes hot, fry in the order of mustard seeds, urad daal, bengal gram.
- After a little bit of time once they become brownish, add the chopped onions then followed by curry leaves, pieces of green chillies and (optionally you can add a pinch of turmeric powder) then wait for the onion to become brownish.
- Now add the smashed idly pieces (If required add a little salt as idly already contains it)
- Fry the whole mixture for 1 or 2 minutes
- Now serve the hot Idly Upma with coconut chuttney
