Pal (Milk) Payasam

  • 1 1/2 Litre milk
  • 1 Cup of brown rice (broken)
  • 2 Cups of  sugar
  • 1/4 Table spoon of cardamom powder
  • 10-12 Cashew nuts (toasted in ghee)
  • 10-12 Raisins (toasted in ghee)

  • Boil the milk in a medium flame
  • Wash the rice, add it to the boiled milk, cook under medium flame till rice is done. Add 2 cups of sugar
  • Cook for 20-30 minutes with frequent stirring. If the payasam is thicken, add cardamom powder, raisins & cashew nuts. Remove from stove
  • Now the Pal Payasam is ready to serve !!!
